Wokini Alaskan Malamutes

WOKINI is Lakota Sioux meaning a new life beginning of peace and happiness…that is our wish for ourselves,all of you, and this planet. We live in the foot-hills of the magnificent Cascade Mountain Range in Washington...a remote area with pastures and forests full of wildlife. Our passion is trail riding…which we do with our Arabian horses and our Malamute family. We plan on showing our exquisite Malamutes sometime in the future, if we ever decide it's time to cut back from out trail riding excursions.

We believe in not only maintaining the quality of this Magnificent breed, but strive to improve it. We've had Malamutes for 20 years…Our dogs come from long lines of Champions not only in conformation, but obedience and working titles as well. You'll find the Malamutes in our pedigrees some of the best in the world. We breed 95-120lb Malamutes with good bone, wonderful temperaments, striking colors including rare red/white, black/white, wolf gray/white, silver/white, seal/white, brown/white and sable/white. Our Malamute males have big, broad Mal-Bear heads with the shorter nose, and they pass this along to their progeny.

Our puppies come with 4-generation AKC/CKC Certified Pedigrees, documenting many of the dogs in our lines have been OFA'd (hips x-rayed for dysplasia). Some have OFEL (elbow) certifications as well. Each new family buying one of our Mal babies receives a puppy packet containing a 2 yrs. Genetic health guarantee on eyes and hips*, veterinarian health record/1st shots/worming, pictures of parents, and various articles on care. All our puppies are sold with Application Papers for Limited AKC Registration only, which means they can't be bred. So, none of our offspring can be bred...not now or ever...so please do not ask ; rather contact another breeder if you have thoughts of doing this. Even tho we raise some of the best Malamutes anywhere, they are raised & bred by us solely as fantastic, gorgeous new family member additions/pets only. We feel this is the best life a dog can have, and intend to give each of our babies the longest, happiest life possible.

It is said Malamutes smile…and they do! Our adults and puppies are wonderful, happy, loving dogs who give tons of kisses! We ride the high country for days on end with our family of Malamutes (2-3 at a time) on our Arabian horses. It's definitely something we enjoy as a "family". We find Malamutes to be highly intelligent, and a breed apart from other dogs. They "think" about things, and oft play games on you, or with you! They are clean, low maintenance animals..they'll run about with you doing whatever you do (even swimming or boating), or are content to just be a couch potatoe with you. They eat very little, and contrary to what I've read about them, have found them easy to train. Their heart's desire is to understand what you want them to do and agree to do it with you as a respected member of your family.
